Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Granny holds a special place in my heart. As soon as I met the Day clan, she was so warm and inviting. I was always welcomed by her big smile and lively laugh. Her long and full life is truly an inspiration to myself and Max. If I can manage to carry her same spirit, positive attitude and humour from now on and into my old age, I will be thanking Christine for showing me how it’s done. • Granny was an amazing artist, athlete, role model and the best grandma anyone could ask for. I will cherish our memories together at the lake forever, in particular, when she successfully chased a bat out of the cabin with her tennis racket. Granny was a truly amazing person who inspired everyone around her. - Posted by: Maxwell Day (Grandson) on: Apr 19, 2026

  • Rest in peace, Grandma. 95 beautiful years. You’ll always be in our hearts. - Posted by: Brian Hodgson (Grandson) on: Apr 12, 2026

  • I marvelled at Mrs Day for her tennis skill at The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club. She was a friend of my Mom‘s and when I started learning tennis, I would watch her and the other ladies play. I could tell there was a difference. She was powerful, accurate and confident in a way the other ladies weren’t. I so very much admired her for that and tried to emulate her both on and off the court. She was inspiring. I offer my condolences to her family. Legends live on. She was a beauty. - Posted by: Marla Klassen (Friend) on: Apr 11, 2026

  • Christine was my mother-in-law. She was in every way the best I could possibly have. Many great memories of family get togethers, trips, Lake of the Woods experiences. Loved by her whole family, a truly beautiful person. - Posted by: Christopher Hodgson (Son in law) on: Apr 11, 2026

  • My deepest love and condolences to Kathy, Barb and Pam. Your mum - my 2nd Mackies Island mum and craft instructor - was very dear to me. Fare thee well Mrs. Day. - Posted by: MARTHA MCLEOD (Childhood friend) on: Apr 11, 2026
